The Sabres should make a push for this Ducks star winger.
One of the Buffalo Sabres' top objectives for the 2024 NHL Offseason is to add a top-six winger. GM Kevyn Adams is expected to be very aggressive, with the club looking to break their 13-year playoff drought in 2024-25.
Due to this, the Sabres are likely to browse the trade market for skilled forwards. One specific winger who they should be keeping an eye on is Anaheim Ducks forward Frank Vatrano.
Vatrano was among the most-talked-about names in the rumor mill leading up to the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. The Ducks were listening to offers for Vatrano but opted to hold onto him for the remainder of the campaign. However, with Vatrano's trade value higher after an outstanding season, the Ducks are expected to hear offers for him again this offseason.
Vatrano, 30, had a spectacular campaign for the Ducks in 2023-24, posting new career highs with 37 goals, 23 assists, and 60 points. He also took his physicality to a new level, recording a career-high 156 hits. He was also named to his first career All-Star Game because of his all-around solid play.
There is no question that the Sabres could use a scorer who provides grit in their top six like Vatrano. Because of this, they were one of the many clubs connected to Vatrano this season. This could carry over to the offseason, as the fit looks excellent on paper.
