The Sabres have some interesting trade targets from the Ducks.

The Buffalo Sabres' 2023-24 season was a major disappointment. They took a big step in the wrong direction and extended their playoff drought to 13 years. Because of this, Don Granato has already been given the boot. Next up for the Sabres will be roster changes.
Because of this, we here at The Hockey News Sabres will be taking a look at a few players from each NHL club who the Sabres could look to add this summer. Let's get things started with the rebuilding Anaheim Ducks.
One Ducks forward who the Sabres should take a look at this offseason is Frank Vatrano. The Massachusetts native has had a career year in 2023-24, posting new career highs with 34 goals, 23 assists, and 57 points in 81 games. He was named to his first All-Star Game and will surely get a lot of attention in the trade market this summer again because of it.

Bringing in Vatrano would give the Sabres' top nine a massive boost. This is not only because he is an impactful goal scorer but also a major difference-maker with his physicality. His 155 hits this season effectively display that.
The Sabres are in a position where they should look to improve down the middle this offseason. Because of this, one player who could grab their attention from the Ducks is Ryan Strome. The 30-year-old would serve as a pretty strong upgrade over Peyton Krebs as the club's third-line center if acquired.

Strome has appeared in 78 games this season with the Ducks, posting 11 goals and 39 points. Overall, it has been a somewhat down year for the veteran. Perhaps joining a team with more offensive weapons, like the Sabres, could get him back in the 50-point range.
