OTP - Is There A Jeff Skinner Decision Looming?

The Buffalo Sabres are hunting for a new third-line center this season. It is clear that they could use an upgrade in that role, and free agency has the potential to offer some solid options this year.

When looking at the players who could hit the market on July 1, one New York Rangers forward should be on their radar - Jack Roslovic.

Roslovic, 27, is a playmaker who has shown he can produce well in a bottom-six role. In 59 regular-season games this year split between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Rangers, he had nine goals and 31 points. He then followed that up with two goals and eight points in 16 playoff games for the Blueshirts.

With numbers like these, it is fair to say that Roslovic would provide the Sabres' third line with a nice boost. His pass-first mentality could make him a nice linemate for veteran sniper Jeff Skinner. In addition, Roslovic would naturally be an option for their second power-play unit if signed.

Given how well Roslovic fit in with the Rangers, they could be open to re-signing him. However, if they don't agree to a deal by July 1, the Sabres should consider making a push for him in free agency.
