The Buffalo Sabres have trimmed down their roster.
The Buffalo Sabres have some changes to their roster as they prepare for tomorrow's (March 2) contest against the Vegas Golden Knights. The club has reassigned forward Tyson Jost and goaltender Dustin Tokarski to the Rochester Americans.
Jost, 25, was called back up by the Sabres earlier this week. He did not, however, appear in a game for Buffalo during his brief call-up. Now, the St. Albert native will look to make an impact down in the AHL again.
Jost has appeared in 29 games for the Sabres, where he has two goals, two assists, and a minus-7 rating. While with Rochester this campaign, he has three goals and 13 points.
As for Tokarski, he was recalled yesterday (Feb. 29) before the Sabres' contest against the Tampa Bay Lightning but, once again, did not make his 2023-24 season debut with the Sabres.
In 18 games this season with the Amerks, Tokarski has a 7-7-3 record, a .892 SV%, and a 3.32 GAA.
