The Sabres should consider targeting this Flyers forward.
The Buffalo Sabres are looking to add to their roster. It is understandable, as they currently sport a 5-7-1 record and are looking to break their 13-year playoff drought.
When looking at potential Sabres trade targets, one player who stands out immediately is Philadelphia Flyers forward Joel Farabee.
Farabee, 24, was a very popular player in the rumor mill this off-season, but a move did not come to fruition. However, with the Flyers rebuilding and off to a rough start, it is fair to wonder if the Syracuse, New York native will once again create trade chatter this season. This is especially so when noting that Farabee has become the odd-man out of Philadelphia's top six.
If the Sabres acquired Farabee, he would provide their top six with a nice boost. In addition, due to his offensive skill, he would be a clear fit on their power play.
Another appealing aspect about Farabee is that he is under contract until the end of the 2027-28 season. Thus, he would be far more than just a rental for Buffalo if acquired.
Farabee has appeared in 13 games this season with the Flyers, where he has two goals and six points. He set career highs with 22 goals, 28 assists, and 50 points in 82 games last season.
