This Sabres prospect will be with Rochester for the rest of the season.

The Buffalo Sabres have made a move, signing prospect goaltender Scott Ratzlaff to an Amateur Tryout (ATO) contract. As a result, he will spend the rest of the 2023-24 season with the Rochester Americans.
Ratzlaff, 19, was selected by the Sabres in the fifth round (141st overall) of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-1 goaltender spent this season in WHL with the Seattle Thunderbirds, posting a 21-26-1 record, .905 SV%, and a 3.33 GAA.
With this move, Ratzlaff will provide Rochester with more goalie depth for the final portion of the season. If he performs well, an entry-level contract with the Sabres will likely follow.

The Sabres have until June 1, 2025, to sign Ratzlaff to his ELC before losing his exclusive signing rights.
