Sabres Hoping Levi Has Deep Playoff Run In Rochester

After a tough 3-0 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs last game, the Buffalo Sabres will look to bounce back tonight versus the Washington Capitals.

This contest against the Caps is an especially big one for Sabres winger Jeff Skinner, however, as he will be suiting up in his 1,000th career NHL game. That is an accomplishment that cannot be taken lightly.

Skinner, 31, has had an impressive NHL career. It is not easy for a player to reach 1,000 career NHL games, and it is quite impressive that he is hitting this mark during his early 30s.

Skinner entered the NHL immediately after his draft year and has done an excellent job staying healthy throughout his 14-year career. These reasons, along with his skill level, are why he is on the verge of hitting 1,000 career NHL games.

In 999 career NHL games split between the Carolina Hurricanes and Sabres, Skinner has 357 goals, 669 points, and 449 penalty minutes.
