Carolina Hurricanes prospect Charlie Cerrato is expected to represent the team at this year's NHLPA Rookie Showcase.
The event, which will take place at the Blackhawks Ice Center this year, is a three-day event intended to allow the NHLPA to collect promotional material of the players, things such as photos, videos and more for their licensing and use.
Think of trading cards, graphics and other such things.
Previous players to represent the Hurricanes include Alexander Nikishin (2025) and Bradly Nadeau (2024).
Cerrato is lining up to be the team's next up and coming rookie as the 2025 second-round pick recently signed his ELC after concluding his sophomore year at Penn State.
He'll be expected to be a big piece for the Chicago Wolves this year in the AHL, as the team looks to replace a bit of their center depth with the departure of Ryan Suzuki.
Cerrato will have a big opportunity to prove himself and if he can impress, he may just be able to fast track his way to the big leagues.
