The veteran forward secures his leadership role in Chicago.
The Chicago Wolves have announced the signing of captain Josiah Slavin to a two-year, AHL deal.
Slavin, 27, is coming off of a two-year deal he signed with the Carolina Hurricanes, but while that contract was two-way, this one is strictly an AHL deal, meaning he wouldn't be able to be called up by the Canes.
The veteran forward, who is the brother of Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin, had six goals and 25 points in 69 games with the Wolves last season and has spent the past two years as their captain.
