

Last night at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, the Grand Rapids Griffins scored a come-from-behind overtime victory, with prized Detroit Red Wings prospects Jonatan Berggren and Marco Kasper pushing the win over the top.

From there, Brogan Rafferty kick-started a Griffins' comeback with a late second period goal. Dominik Shine made the game 4-3 before the third period was two minutes old, then, with just 1:41 to play Berggren equalized.
It took just 48 seconds of overtime for Kasper to find the game-winner—holding off a defender and slipping a shot through Collin Delia.
After getting off to a slow start to his season, Kasper now has eight points in his last nine games. Meanwhile, Sebastian Cossa made 20 saves in the winning effort.
The Griffins (now 15-15-4-1) and Moose will renew their tensions in the second game of a two-game set this evening.
