Home ice has been a pleasant place for the Oilers to play - especially since Kris Knoblauch took over. They have a 27-9-4 record on home ice this season - good for 58 points. They are tied with the Carolina Hurricanes for third most wins at home in the entire NHL.

Tonight they defend home ice against the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks bring a surprising familiar face with them - Klim Kostin.

For those who haven't been paying attention - Kostin spent the majority of the season with the Detroit Red Wings. Then at the trade deadline Kostin was sent to the Sharks to give him a fresh start elsewhere.

That seems to be just what the doctor ordered for the lovable Russian forward.

Kostin appears to be a new player with the Sharks. In 17 games he has 10 points and is playing 14:39 a night. Six of those 10 points have come on a line with Mikael Granlund and Fabian Zetterlund - the Sharks top line.

To celebrate the occasion of him coming back into town, Kostin took to social media to share that he was catching up with an old Oilers friend of his - Vincent Desharnais.

This tweet was shared yesterday - which is a screenshot of one of Kostin's Instagram stories. Last time Kostin was in town he mentioned catching up with old friends, and it looks like Desharnais is one of them.

The Sharks play their last game of the season on the road this Thursday against the Calgary Flames.
