EDMONTON -- It may be the Battle of Alberta, but that doesn't mean the players need to fight at every little thing that happens in the game.

In the dying minutes of the (eventual) 6-3 loss the Edmonton Oilers received from the Calgary Flames - Evander Kane knocked Nazem Kadri down with a crosscheck.

It seemed like a hard crosscheck, but it didn't faze Kadri. In fact, he seemed rather amused.

While it's nice to see the Oilers showing some fire despite the score - it's a little too little way too late. The streaky play of Kane recently makes the incident even more frustrating.

Kadri had the last laugh, as his team took home the two points. Kane walked away from the play with an L as well as 12 more penalty minutes added to his total on the season.
