Perry Nelson-USA TODAY Sports - Oilers Forward Scores Against Old Team

EDMONTON -- It's Saturday afternoon, and it's duck hunting time.

The Edmonton Oilers have scored a combined 20 goals on the Anaheim Ducks in the three previous meetings between the two teams.

Today marks the first time that Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick have played against their former team since the trade deadline. Carrick had been a healthy scratch for a couple games before today's meeting.

The Oilers opened the scoring in this afternoon's game.

Leon Draisaitl makes an excellent behind the back pass to Henrique. He fires a shot on Ducks goalie John Gibson. It doesn't go in - but he collects his own rebound and makes no mistake with his 22nd of the season.

Since then the Oilers have scored two more goals. One was a beautiful partial breakaway by Connor McDavid, the other a point shot blast from Mattias Ekholm.

The first period is almost done, but there is plenty of time for this game to go completely off the rails for the visiting team.
