The Edmonton Oilers have punched their ticket to the Western Conference semi-final. With a 4-3 win they won their best-of-seven series against the Los Angeles Kings 4-1. Everyone who needed to perform well for the Oilers did.
Now hockey fans (Oilers fans included) turn their attention to the other Canadian teams still left in the muck of their respective first round series' - the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks.

The Maple Leafs are down 3-2 in their series against the Boston Bruins - with Game six being the lone game scheduled for today. For a second straight game the Maple Leafs will play without their superstar (and Rocket Richard trophy winner) Auston Matthews.
It's not impossible for a team to come back from a 3-1 series deficit to win in seven games - but to do that the Maple Leafs must win on home ice tonight. Do they have what it takes to overcome the Eastern juggernauts aka, the Bruins?

On the other end of the continent the Canucks will battle the Nashville Predators. They take a 3-2 series lead into Nashville, looking to close out their series in six games. Will the Predators keep pushing back or can the Canucks have the killer instinct to put the pesky Preds away?

After the dust of the first round settles, there will be at least one Canadian team left. But who will join the Oilers? Will the Maple Leafs claw their way to a comeback? Will the Canucks finish the job or give the Predators room to breathe?
Will the Oilers be the lone Canadian team - or will the Maple Leafs join them? Will the Canucks join them? Neither? Both?
By Sunday night we will have the answers to all of these questions. Until then - strap in and enjoy the ride.
