Adam Henrique took to social media to thank the Anaheim Ducks and their fans.
EDMONTON -- It's been an interesting week for newly acquired Edmonton Oilers forwards Sam Carrick and Adam Henrique.
Just one week ago today the Anaheim Ducks were coming off of a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Vancouver Canucks - a game in which goaltender Lukas Dostal kept them in it saving 29 of 31 total shots.

Two days later, as they were getting ready to play the Ottawa Senators - the pair were traded.
Since then they have both dressed for a few games - Henrique for three and Carrick for two - and are still finding their way with their new teammates. It can take a while for new acquisitions to find their place on a new team. There are room dynamics and team systems to all take into consideration.

Neither player has registered a point yet. That might change sooner rather than later for Henrique, so skated on the second unit power play in yesterday's 4-0 win against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Henrique shared a message to the Ducks organization and it's fans on social media earlier today.
Here is what he said, "Thank you Anaheim! So many memories made in SoCal! Thank you to the Anaheim Ducks organization, my teammates, the staff, and of course the amazing Ducks fans! It was a pleasure to play in front of you! I am excited to be joining the Edmonton Oilers! Let's go Oilers!"
It's great to have a new addition to the team have a public display of gratitude to his old team - and excitement for joining his new one.
