Kris Knoblauch made dramatic changes to the forward lines at Edmonton Oilers practice today.
EDMONTON -- There wasn't much to like about last night's loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
But Kris Knoblauch and the Edmonton Oilers look poised to remedy whatever ailed the team. Over the course of the game last night there were many different combinations of forwards.

Of course they started the game with a new second line that was comprised of Leon Draisaitl, Evander Kane, and newcomer Adam Henrique. Unfortunately for the team, that didn't last too long.
Today at practice, the Oilers have changed up the forward lines again and are going with a different configuration in their middle six.
The most notable change is the following - Kane and Henrique join Corey Perry on the third line with Ryan McLeod and Warren Foegele promoted to the second line with Draisaitl.
This makes sense for a few reasons - the first being that the second line immediately becomes faster. Another, the third line can be an offensive zone specialist line. With their ability to grind and cycle, that could be a formidable combination.

Oilers fans won't need to wait long to see how it pans out in the next game - which is an early game scheduled for tomorrow against the Buffalo Sabres.
