Saturday night they proved that with a 4-2 victory over the Calgary Flames. They have won three of their four total meetings this season. It wasn't a high scoring affair, but several players left their mark on the game or had impressive milestones because of it.

Leon Draisaitl scored his 40th goal of the year - and Connor McDavid reached 99 assists as well as 130 points for a second consecutive season.

The game winner that night came from a point shot blast by the one and only, Evan Bouchard. It came at 10:36 of the third period, Bouchard's 17th goal of the season.

That was Bouchard's seventh game winning goal of the season - giving him the record for most game winning goals in a season. Until that night he was tied with Paul Coffey for six.

Defensively speaking, Bouchard is more than adequate. Obviously he makes some mistakes here and there, but his offense more than makes up for what he lacks.

Bouchard is on an absolute tear this season. Along with his 17 goals he has 62 assists, giving him 79 points in 76 games. He's doing that while averaging 23 minutes a night.

With six games left in the season, it's not unreasonable to consider that he could get really close to 90 points by the time the playoffs roll around.
