The former Edmonton Oilers forward is delivering the goods for the Seattle Kraken this season.
EDMONTON -- Most of the Edmonton Oilers get some time to rest and relax after dispatching the Nashville Predators 4-1 on Saturday afternoon. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl will participate in the All-Star game this coming weekend. McDavid will captain a team that features Draisaitl as the assistant captain. Will Arnett will join them as the celebrity captain.

One team that will get a shorter break than everyone else is the Seattle Kraken. They played last night against the Columbus Blue Jackets - resulting a 4-2 win for the Kraken.
Leading the charge for the Kraken was former Oilers forward Jordan Eberle. Eberle was dynamite as he recorded two goals, one assist on three shots while only accumulating 14:47 of time on ice.

Not only were both of his goals on the power play, but all three of his points came in the first period of play. His three points in one period matched a franchise record for most points scored in one period.
This record has been achieved three times prior to Eberle's outing. Andre Burakovsky did it twice (once against the Nashville Predators & once against the Ottawa Senators) while Vince Dunn was able to notch a goal and two assists against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Eberle has popped up in trade rumors as a potential option for the Oilers to look at for their top-six forward group. The biggest hindrance to that kind of a move lies in his $5.5-million cap hit contract. He is also on a deal that expires at the end of this year.
He's found a place on the Kraken's roster as a top-six forward who can still hit 20-goals a year. Last year was a return to form for the 33-year old winger resulting in a 20-goal 63-point performance. That was only the fourth time in his 14-year career that he's reached at least 60 points.
The Oilers don't play against the Kraken again until they open up the month of March with a road game in Seattle.
