Jordan Eberle is set to reach a personal achievement in tonight's Seattle Kraken game.
EDMONTON -- Edmonton Oilers fans know Jordan Eberle well.
The Regina, Saskatchewan native spent seven years playing for the Copper and Blue. He - along with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Taylor Hall - were to be the face of the franchise for years to come.

It wasn't meant to be.
In June of 2017 he was traded to the New York Islanders for forward Ryan Strome - in a move that some felt was executed because of his lack of production in the playoffs. That off season he had two points in 13 games.
He's had 45 points in 65 playoff games since. Safe to say he learned whatever he needed to.

Tonight, when the Seattle Kraken play against the Vegas Golden Knights, Eberle will reach a career milestone.
He'll be playing in his 1000th NHL game. Not too shabby for a 22nd overall pick from the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
His first NHL goal is one of the most memorable aspects of his Oilers tenure - it certainly helped that it was against the Oilers provincial rivals, the Calgary Flames.
The Oilers could have acquired Eberle this past trade deadline. Instead, a contract extension was agreed to between the Kraken and Eberle.
Congratulations Jordan Eberle.
