EDMONTON -- Edmonton Oilers have a big game tomorrow night.
The Oilers took to the ice for practice this morning - ahead of their big game against the Vegas Golden Knights tomorrow night. Almost everyone was present, including recent call-up Dylan Holloway.
Connor McDavid was absent from a second straight practice. Kris Knoblauch was asked to give an update on McDavid. He kicked things off in a humourous fashion, "I'm surprised you guys noticed."
"He is day-to-day. We'll find out tomorrow."

After that he iterated that the playoffs is the most important thing for the team. McDavid is a highly competitive player - but his health can't be sacrificed just to win a few more games in the regular season.
When pressed about the nature of the injury Knoblauch eventually revealed, "it's lower body." As for the question of when McDavid was injured, Knoblauch also shed a little bit of light on the timing of the injury.

"He played up till five minutes left of the game and felt some discomfort. We didn't want to make it worse so we held him back."
Knoblauch also confirmed that this injury was not related to his injury earlier in the season. We will wait to see if McDavid attends morning skate tomorrow - and if he is out for warm ups. When asked about if McDavid could miss tomorrow's game, Knoblauch said there was.
"There is a chance. He's day-to-day, it's a maintenance thing."
