The Oilers have another day off today before playing six games in nine days. They play four straight home games before heading out on the road for one final back-to-back.
Right now they only have 13 forwards - with Derek Ryan and Sam Carrick taking turns being the odd man out. Because of this, it makes sense for the team to recall a player.
This morning the Oilers have announced the recall of young forward Dylan Holloway from the Bakersfield Condors. Just over a month ago he was sent down to the Condors to get more playing time and boost his confidence.

The 2020 first round pick has collected 16 points in 18 AHL games this year. He's on fire recently, with six points in his last five games - including a hat trick in his most recent game against the Calgary Wranglers.
In the NHL this year he's tallied four points in 32 games - averaging 11:03 a night. It will be interesting to see what kind of role and minutes Holloway will get once he's integrated into the lineup.
