EDMONTON -- In case you live under a rock, the Battle of Alberta got heated over the weekend.
Although the Edmonton Oilers beat the Calgary Flames 4-2 there were fireworks to be found. Primarily, those fireworks were between teammates - Corey Perry and Evander Kane.

On Saturday night, the two players were spotted on the bench exchanging words. Perry was more animated than Kane was - emphatically pointing and waving his arms and slamming the bench gate.
Of course, this isn't the first time that Kane has been the subject of this nature of speculation. Not that long ago he was spotted with Leon Draisaitl having an animated discussion on the bench during the Oilers embarrassing loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Both Kane and Perry spoke to the media yesterday after practice. From a media member perspective - it was a very light-hearted conversation.
Kane himself entered the availability with a big smile on his face. As he walked past Perry (who was interviewed just before him) he jokingly said to him, "you're an ***hole" - which had Perry laughing on his way out of the locker room.
Kane was asked a question by Ryan Rishaug - about this not being the first time that he was spotted on camera having a conversation like this on the bench with a teammate. Kane had the pitch perfect response, "yah I know, you talked about it on your podcast and what not."
"People look for it for clicks and storylines. I think at the end of the day I gotta start getting paid for some of these clicks and storylines. So whenever you guys want to present me with a check, I'd be more than happy to accept it."
It was great to see both players in good spirits - and more than happy to answer any questions that the media had for them.
