With him being the freshest face in town, it felt like a good time to get to know some things about who Skinner is as a person.

    Huge Emily In Paris Fan

Skinner had a very cool moment during the 2023-24 season with Lily Collins. When Skinner was celebrating his 1000th NHL game he received a personalized video from the "Emily in Paris" actress.

In the video above, Collins said she heard Skinner was a "big fan" and wanted to send him a video to congratulate him on his accomplishment. The video also shows Skinner talking about the show to a couple of his teammates.

To one teammate, he says, "How's Emily in Paris?" They laugh before responding, "it's a good show." Everything about his interactions with his teammates comes across as genuine. So you believe that he actually likes the show.

Hockey wasn't the only ice sport Skinner pursued when he was younger. Figure skating played a huge role in his youth. The 2010 draft pick took his figure skating very seriously. In the 2004 Canadian Junior National Figure Skating Championships, he finished with a bronze medal.

    Host of "Between Two Stalls"

Leon Draisaitl better look out, the Oilers have another comedian on their hands. Skinner was the writer and host of a Between Two Ferns-style talk show while with the Sabres.

In the show he interviews his teammates. The humor is similar to that of Between Two Ferns, hosted by Zach Galifianakis. Skinner appears to have fun while doing it.

In total he recorded nine episodes of the show, all of which are posted on the Sabres YouTube channel.
