A right handed defenseman is on their way to the Edmonton Oilers.
EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers aren't done trading yet.
Yesterday they acquired forwards Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick from the Anaheim Ducks with a massive amount of retained salary - while only giving up a couple of draft picks.

Noah Hanifin and Sean Walker were moved yesterday, Hanifin to the Vegas Golden Knights and Walker to the Colorado Avalanche. With those Western Conference powerhouses making additions to their blue line, it was only a matter of time before the Oilers did.
There are several reports out now indicating that the Oilers have acquired a defenseman.
Elliotte Friedman is reporting that the full trade is Troy Stecher and a 7th round pick to the Oilers for a fourth round pick. The Arizona Coyotes are not retaining any salary in the deal.
As far as how Stecher could fit into the Oilers, he has played very well with the Arizona Coyotes this season. The 5-foot-10 184lbs right-handed defender has five points in 47 games played - but averages 18:26 of ice time per game. That has him ranked fourth on the Coyotes blueline in time on ice.
He's also fourth on the Coyotes in penalty kill time on ice, averaging 2:14 a game.
