Father time is not on the Edmonton Oilers side.

Some romantic couples live by that philosophy, but there are NHL teams that do as well. The Edmonton Oilers were one of the oldest teams in the NHL for 2023-24. As they head into the 2024-25 season, they look to continue that run.
Earlier today B/R Open Ice on Twitter posted the top five oldest and youngest NHL rosters. The Pittsburgh Penguins have the oldest roster, followed by the Oilers, then the Nashville Predators, Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Penguins average age is 30.9. The Oilers aren't that far behind with the average age of 30.5. The last three are all really close with 29.8, 29.7 and 29.6 for their respective average ages.
The oldest players on the Oilers are Corey Perry (39), Derek Ryan (37), Adam Henrique (34) and Mattias Ekholm (34). On the other side of the spectrum the Oilers have Dylan Holloway (22) as the youngest followed by Philip Broberg (23), Evan Bouchard (24) and Stuart Skinner (25).

Two of the four youngest Oilers are vital parts of the organization. Skinner and Bouchard are important to the success of the franchise. Holloway and Broberg also stepped up in a huge way during the end of the regular season, and through to the end of the playoffs.
The management and players don't care about their age, to them it is just a number. Their concern right now is winning the Stanley Cup in 2024-25.
