Trevor Zegras should get an Oscar nomination for that play.

EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Oilers are running away with this game.

It's the end of the second period and the Oilers are up 5-0 against the Anaheim Ducks. With goals from Adam Henrique, Connor McDavid, Mattias Ekholm, and Warren Foegele.

It's been a fairly one sided affair in favour of the Oilers - as most would expect, given their opponents are in the running for the first overall pick in the upcoming NHL entry draft.

The game is not short on theatrics, however. Primarily, between Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Trevor Zegras.

Nugent-Hopkins was called for a high sticking penalty - after Zegras threw his head back and clutched his face with his hand.

Nugent-Hopkins' stick never got higher than Zegras' hands.

The referees fell for the acting performance for long enough to announce a penalty to Nugent-Hopkins. During the TV timeout, they rescinded the call on Nugent-Hopkins.
