On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies can be used in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.
Nazem Kadri, C, CGY vs. BOS (50% rostered)
Kadri's scoring has really picked up and he's got plenty of value for the rest of the season if you want to hold on to him. He's on a three-game goal streak and scored eight points in his past eight games.
Will Cuylle, LW, NYR at NSH (43% rostered)
Cuylle can rack up the hits and his scoring is pretty consistent for someone who doesn't get a lot of playing time and plays PP2. That may change, however, as the Rangers have mixed up the lines and Cuylle's now skating L1 with Filip Chytil and Alexis Lafreniere, who connected on a goal against the Blues. The matchup's really good, too, since the Preds are one of the few teams who might be worse than the Rangers right now.
Gabriel Vilardi, C/RW, WPG at SJ (38% rostered)
The notoriously streaky Vilardi is back on a heater again with four goals and seven points in his past six games. This should be a relatively easy matchup against the Sharks, who are allowing the second-most shots per game (32.5).
JJ Peterka, LW/RW, BUF at MTL (28% rostered)
Peterka lost his spot on L1 with Tage Thompson but all is good since they're playing together on PP1 and, more importantly, Peterka has scored three assists in his past three games. He went quiet for a very long time but things might be perking up. While the Sabres are mired in a 10-game losing streak, the Habs might be one of the few opponents they might have an easier time scoring against and beating.
Quinton Byfield, C/LW/RW, LA at PIT (25% rostered)
Byfield's fantasy value has certainly lost some luster since the pre-season hype about a potential breakout season. Well, Byfield's coming off a two-point game and faces a team that's improved their defensive play but still very prone to some awful showings. The Kings are excellent at controlling the game, and Byfield's recent surge in shooting volume - eight shots in three games - bodes well in this matchup.
Honorable mention:
Josh Norris, C, OTT at SEA (40% rostered)
Kent Johnson, C/LW/RW, CLB at TB (37% rostered)
Rickard Rakell, C/LW/RW, PIT vs. LA (37% rostered)
Bryan Rust, RW, PIT vs. LA (36% rostered)
Pierre-Luc Dubois, C/LW, WSH at CHI (29% rostered)
Jake Neighbours, LW, STL vs. NJ (29% rostered)
Oliver Bjorkstrand, RW, SEA vs. OTT (19% rostered)
