Jonathan Huberdeau redux, Gabriel Vilardi drops below 50% rostered and maybe Zach Benson moves up?
Gabriel Vilardi, C/RW, WPG at CHI (49% rostered)
Just as Vilardi gets dropped after a four-game drought, he picks it up again with three points in four games. I find it highly unlikely the Hawks will limit their opponents to 15 shots yet again, as they did against the Oilers, and the Jets are on a roll with seven straight wins. Vilardi is playing L1 and PP1.
Note Cole Perfetti, C/LW (37% rostered) is also a great option with a three-game points streak as well.
Jonathan HuberdeauJonathan Huberdeau, C/LW, CGY at ARI (39% rostered)
Huberdeau can extend his points streak to four games and the odds are looking good. He still doesn't get a ton of playing time and he remains a low-volume shooter, Huberdeau's little hot streak has also coincided from improved production from Yegor Sharangovich, C/LW (26% rostered, also worth streaming). The Coyotes can be tough, but they're not defensive stalwarts having allowed at least three goals in four straight games.
Alexis Lafrenière, LW/RW, NYR at STL (32% rostered)
Lafrenière is a legit top-six winger and he's been very good over the past month. He's getting consistent minutes and he's scored at least a point in five of his past seven games. The Rangers are also coming off two days' rest, one extra day than the Blues.
Dakota Joshua, C/LW, VAN at PIT (31% rostered)
With both teams featuring plenty of high-end talent, depth will be a key factor in this matchup. Joshua has been excellent with 20 points in 40 games, and after the Canucks' stacked top line, Joshua's line is the one Rick Tocchet trusts the most. Even if Joshua doesn't score a point, he's one of the league's best high-volume hitters for multi-category coverage.
Zach Benson, LW, BUF vs. OTT (2% rostered)
Just a hunch, but I suspect Benson moves up the lineup with Jeff Skinner out. Kyle Okposo draws into the lineup and without a full skate this morning, the Sabres won't reveal their lines until puck drop.
Benson was the left winger who joined Tage Thompson and Alex Tuch in previous games when Skinner wasn't available, and though he hasn't scored a goal since Dec. 15 nor registered a point in four games, being put on the top line certainly gives him more opportunities to score.
