While the New Jersey Devils' season is over, Timo Meier is still on the ice. The Devils winger is currently representing Team Switzerland at the 2025 World Championship, and he is undoubtedly playing some great hockey in the process.
In seven games during the tournament for Switzerland so far, Meier currently has two goals, seven points, and a plus-10 rating. This includes an absolutely spectacular performance in Switzerland's 10-0 win over Team Hungary on May 18. The Devils star recorded two goals, four points, and a plus-5 rating in the contest.
Seeing Meier put up some excellent numbers at the World Championship is not too surprising, as he is a highly skilled offensive player when playing at his best. He is certainly demonstrating that during this tournament, and he is making a major impact for Switzerland because of it.
Meier's goal will now look to stay hot when Switzerland takes on Team Austria in their next contest on May 22. He has been showing no signs of slowing down, and it will be fascinating to see what kind of game he puts together from here.
Meier appeared in 80 regular-season games this year with the Devils, recording 26 goals, 53 points, and a plus-7 rating. The 6-foot-1 winger also had two goals and four points in five playoff games for New Jersey this year.
