Kyle Ross-USA TODAY Sports - Travis Konecny Hits Another Career Achievement; Flyers Get Crucial Win Against Devils

The Philadelphia Flyers finally returned home after a four-game road trip, welcoming the New Jersey Devils to town for the teams' first meeting since the Stadium Series back in February.

On a night honoring Wayne Simmonds retiring as a Flyer (who also spent a season with the Devils), the orange and black nabbed an essential win to keep themselves in the wild card race and keep their momentum going as they look ahead to the final game of the regular season.

Travis Konecny netted a shorthanded goal to get the Flyers on the board, putting Philadelphia up 1-0 and recording his 400th career point. He also takes the league lead for shorthanded goals this season (6), while the Flyers extend their record as the team with the most shorthanded goals this season to 16.

Sam Ersson also recorded his fourth shutout of the season, stopping all 20 shots he faced to help the Flyers hold on to their one-goal lead.

The Flyers' next game—their last of the regular season—will take place on Apr. 16 against the Washington Capitals at 7:00 p.m. EST.
