Three Philadelphia Flyers prospects participated in the first games of their respective CHL championship series on Thursday night—where all three players scored.
Oliver Bonk and Denver Barkey were key figures in securing the London Knights' spectacular 8-1 win over the Oshawa Generals in Game 1 of the OHL Championship, while Alexis Gendron's hat trick helped lift the Drummondville Voltigeurs to a 5-0 over Baie-Comeau Drakkar.
For the Knights, Bonk scored twice—his first being the first goal of the game to get London going.
He netted his second goal not too long after, putting the Knights up by three.
Barkey got in on the scoring party, netting a goal of his own to put London up 5-0.
Over in the QMJHL, Alexis Gendron had himself a corker of a night, slotting home three goals (or, as some would call it, a hat trick) to put the Voltigeurs up 1-0 in their own championship series.
Barkey and Bonk will be back with the Knights on May 11 at 7 p.m., while Gendron and the Voltigeurs will go again on May 10 at 7 p.m.
