The Flyers should consider taking a chance on this Canucks forward.

As Denver Barkey heads back to the London Knights after spending the last couple of months watching the Philadelphia Flyers' training camp from the sidelines, he reflects on his recovery from illness and coming back a stronger player than before.

On Saturday (Nov. 2), the Vancouver Canucks placed forward Nils Aman on waivers. The Philadelphia Flyers should seriously consider putting in a claim for him.

Aman, 24, is a young center who could provide the Flyers with another option for their bottom six if claimed. The 6-foot-2 forward would also give them another player who can handle killing penalties, as he works well in the role due to his solid defensive play.

Aman has been off to a decent start with the Canucks this season, as he has two assists in four games. His best NHL season was back in 2022-23 when he was a rookie, as he had four goals and 16 points in 68 games.

Aman also showed off offensive promise down in the AHL with the Abbotsford Canucks this past season, as he had eight goals and 15 points in 15 games.

With the Flyers needing more center depth and Aman having decent upside, they should seriously consider taking a shot on him with a waiver claim. It seems that the 2020 sixth-round pick has the potential to hit a new level, and he could do just that with a change of scenery. Bringing him in would be a no-risk move for the rebuilding Flyers.
