Cam York's breakout season showcased major improvements in his all-around game, solidifying his role as a key defensive presence. With a new season on the horizon, York is ready to elevate his play even further, eyeing a leadership role and continued growth in the years ahead.

The NHL saw 25 players be placed on waivers today (Oct. 4). One just so happens to be a former Philadelphia Flyers forward, as Max Willman was placed on waivers by the New Jersey Devils.

Willman, 29, joined the Devils organization during the 2023 off-season after his tenure with the Flyers came to a close. In 18 games with the Devils last season, the Barnstable, Massachusetts native had three goals, one assist, 23 hits, and a plus-2 rating.

Willman spent the bulk of the season down in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Devils' AHL affiliate, the Utica Comets. In 33 games with the AHL squad, he had 12 goals and 22 points.
