Per sources obtained by The Hockey News, Philadelphia Flyers prospect Denver Barkey will sign his entry-level contract tomorrow.
Barkey currently plays for the London Knights in the Ontario Hockey League. He has 86 points (31 goals, 55 assists) in 55 games played. He has shown extreme growth from his 59-point season last year. He is first on the Knights in points, goals, and assists.
His teammate and fellow Flyers prospect Oliver Bonk is enjoying a successful season with 61 points (23 goals, 38 assists) in 51 games.
Barkey could be seen as the steal of the 2023 NHL Draft, as the Flyers selected him in the third round, 95th overall. Along with Bonk, Matvei Michkov, and Jamie Draysdale, the Flyers' young core looks stacked with elite talent.
The official word of the signing will come tomorrow morning.
