Just another story to add to the list of outstanding off-ice moments from the Pittsburgh Penguins' captain.
Ever since he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2005, there has seemingly never been a bad word spoken about Sidney Crosby.
That trend continued as another personal story has come out about the Penguins’ captain being one of the best individuals in hockey.
A screenshot of a Reddit post went viral on Twitter and it tells the story of a family meeting Crosby while on vacation in the Bahamas.
As the story is told, the family are Penguins’ season ticket holders and were willing to just let Crosby enjoy a lunch with his friends.
The 10-year-old daughter on the other hand, had other plans and walked over to Crosby’s table and told him how big of a fan she is and asked for a photo.
Crosby agreed and took a photo with the whole family before sticking around and talking about the city and the sport of hockey.
After the small talk was over, Crosby picked up the family’s lunch tab and left an autograph and note for the 10-year-old girl.
According to the Reddit post, this isn’t an old story and just happened earlier in the week.
The Penguins missed he postseason for the first time since 2006, and given how passionate Crosby is about the game, it wouldn’t be unnatural for him to not want to interact in this manner.
This story of kindness also came just a day after PGA golfer Justin Thomas told a story about the night he spent with Crosby and some of his Penguins teammates.
The Penguins may not be competing for the Stanley Cup this year, but their leader is still finding ways to make memories for fans any way he can.
