In a tough situation, Georgy Romanov made his NHL debut but made 14 saves.
McDavid also scored the opening goal for Edmonton. Warren Foegele scored twice, and Zach Hyman, Dylan Holloway, Evan Bouchard, Cody Ceci, Adam Henrique, and Correy Perry scored the goals for the Oilers. Stuart Skinner made 19 saves.
There isn't much to say about this game except that the Oilers dominated. In a silver lining, Jack Thompson made his Sharks debut. Gushchin has two goals and two assists in five career NHL games. Mikael Granlund extended his point streak to 12 games.

The Oilers won a faceoff cleanly, and Adam Henrique scored his 24th goal of the season in front of the net.

The Oilers wasted no time responding, and Foegele scored his second of the game.
Another defensive zone turnover led to a great passing play, which gave Corey Perry his 12th goal of the season.
Cody Ceci scored his 5th goal of the season to make it 7-1.
Evan Bouchard made it 8-1 with his 18th goal of the season.
Connor McDavid becomes the fourth player in NHL history to record 100 assists in a season on Zach Hyman's 54th goal of the season.
Granlund extends his point streak to 12 games with an assist on Fabian Zetterlund's 23rd goal of the season.
