The San Jose Sharks have announced they have recalled Danil Gushchin, Jack Thompson, and Georgi Romanov before their final two regular season games.

Gushchin earned his second recall of the season and has been arguably the San Jose Barracuda's best forward this season. In 56 games, he has 20 goals and 34 assists. He was going to be the team's lone All-Star, but an injury forced him to miss the event.

The winger scored his 20th goal of the season during the 'Cuda's final home game yesterday.

The Sharks acquired Jack Thompson in the deal that sent Anthony Duclair to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The defenseman has had fairly good success in 16 games with the Barracuda. The 2020 third-round pick has one goal and eight assists.

Georgi Romanov earned his first NHL call-up. Over his last four games, the Russian netminder has made 149 saves on 156 shots, a .955 save percentage.

His season totals don't jump off the page, but his recent play shows he could get a better feel for the North American ice surface. This is his first season in North America after the Sharks signed him from the VHL in Russia. His totals for the season include a 9-9-8 record, 3.14 GAA, and a .904 save %.

The Sharks have two remaining regular-season road games, with the first coming tomorrow against the Edmonton Oilers. Devin Cooley told reporters yesterday that he might start that game in goal.

The team's final game of the season is Thursday against the Calgary Flames.
