The San Jose Sharks finish their season with a 5-1 loss to the Calgary Flames and shift the focus to the 2024 NHL Draft Lottery.

Devin Cooley started for the Sharks but struggled again. He made 18 saves and gave up all five goals. Georgi Romanov looked steady for his second NHL appearance, making 14 saves. Zetterlund scored with 8.9 seconds left in the season.

Calgary got goals from Adam Klapka, Blake Coleman, Oliver Kylington, Kevin Rooney, and MacKenzie Weegar. Dustin Wolf started for the Flames, making 16 saves. 

Fabian Zetterlund completed the Iron Man season by playing in all 82 games. He was the only Sharks player to do so this season. William Eklund was second on the team with 80 games played. 

The Sharks finish their season with a record of 19-54-9. It is the second straight season in which San Jose has the fewest wins in the NHL.

Adam Klapka scored his first NHL goal, becoming the 127th different NHL player against the Sharks.

Blake Coleman scored his 30th goal of the season after the Flames failed to clear their defensive zone after a penalty kill.

Oliver Kylington scored his 3rd goal of the season.

The Flames continued to pour it on as Kevin Rooney scored his 3rd goal of the season.

MacKenzie Weegar scored his 20th goal of the season to make it 5-0. Devin Cooley was pulled from the game in favor of Georgi Romano for the second straight game.

Zetterlund breaks up the shutout with 8.9 seconds left in the season for his 24th goal of the season.
