Evgeni Malkin scored his 19th goal of the season after he found the puck on the side of the net and slid it under Chrona, off his leg, and into the net.
Klim Kostin scored his first goal as a Sharks player to tie the game at three. Mikael Granlund got the primary assist despite looking like his season was over due to an injury just moments before.
John Ludvig scored his second career NHL goal to give the Penguins a 4-3 lead.
Rickard Rakell deflected the puck in the net off his leg for his 10th goal of the season.
Bryan Rust made it 6-3 with an empty net goal.
