Anthony Duclair and the Tampa Bay Lightning (37-25-6) continue their road trip with a visit to the San Jose Sharks (16-45-7).
Duclair has found a home on the Bolts' top line with Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov. He has three goals and two assists with his new team in four games.
"I'm not surprised. He's done his whole career," Sharks head coach David Quinn said about Duclair playing on Tampa Bay's top line. "Just manage the puck. Just don't give it to them. Make them rip it off you."
The Lightning are 7-2-1 in their last ten games and have won their previous four.
Despite not being here for a full season, Duclair meant a lot to the Sharks. He built strong relationships with young players like William Eklund, Fabian Zetterlund, and Thomas Bordeleau.
The Sharks wrapped up a five-game road trip that saw them go 0-5. Fatigue looked like it crept into the final game with an 8-2 loss to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday.
The team announced that they have sent Magnus Chrona back down to the AHL and activated Mackenzie Blackwood from IR this morning.
Devin Cooley remains with the NHL club and could be Blackwood's backup for the remainder of the season. Cooley made his NHL debut during the trip against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Sharks projected line combinations:
Kostin-Granlund-Zetterlund
Barabanov-Kunin-Zadina
Bailey-Sturm-Bordeleau
Eklund-Carpenter-Hoffman
Ferraro-Burroughs
Thrun-Rutta
Vlasic-Addison
Blackwood
Cooley
Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. and can be seen on NBC Sports California or the Sharks Audio Network.
