The San Jose Sharks (18-51-8) and Calgary Flames (34-37-5) have been eliminated from playoff contention, but Dustin Wolf will start for Calgary.
Wolf, a Gilroy native, will play his first game in San Jose. He has two previous starts against the Sharks in his career, both in Calgary.
The Sharks will get Klim Kostin back in the lineup after he missed one game due to illness. Head coach David Quinn said there are still some questions regarding the rest of the lineup due to other injuries/illnesses.
The Flames loaded up on young talent and prospects at the trade deadline this season, adding players like Andrei Kuzmenko, Hunter Brzustewicz, and former Sharks' defenseman Nikita Okhotiuk.
Okhotiuk has played six games with the Flames this season and hasn't tallied a point.
Quinn said one of Kevin Labanc or Mike Hoffman will play tonight, so it sounds like there is a good chance someone is out tonight past whoever is coming out of the lineup for Kostin.
Sharks projected line combinations:
Kostin-Granlund-Zetterlund
Eklund-Kunin-Graf
Bordeleau-Studnicka-Zadina
Hoffman-Sturm-Bailey
Ferraro-Rutta
Vlasic-Addison
Thrun-Burroughs
Blackwood
Cooley
Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. and can be seen on NBC Sports California or the Sharks Audio Network.
