San Jose Sharks winger Anthony Duclair had been representing himself throughout his NHL career, but he hired an agent just two days before the trade deadline.

Duclair is a pending UFA and could be moved by Friday's deadline. As head coach David Quinn said last night, the Sharks would love to keep him, but both sides understand the circumstances.

Duclair had a breakout performance last night, scoring two goals and adding two assists. He is now tied for the team lead in goals with 16.

The Sharks also placed defenseman Ty Emebrson on IR and recalled Thomas Bordeleau from the San Jose Barracuda. Bordeleau has 25 points in 35 games in the AHL this season.

The following 48 hours will become increasingly interesting as more teams make trades ahead of the noon deadline.
