Three injured San Jose Sharks players are getting close to returning.

The regular season is rapidly approaching, but the Sharks still have three critical injuries.
Head coach Ryan Warsofsky gave a positive update today, saying Yaroslav Askarov, Shakir Mukhamadullin, and Marc-Edouard Vlasic all skated on their own.
While it isn't at practice, just getting back on the ice is an encouraging step for the trio of injured players. Askarov told reporters on Sept. 21 that his injury wasn't significant and that he hoped to return to the ice soon.
Mukhamadulin has been out since the start of the Rookie Faceoff with what San Jose Barracuda head coach John McCarthy said was "general body soreness." Before the first day of training camp, the Sharks announced Mukhamadullin's injury was a lower-body issue.

Vlasic's injury was announced as an upper-body injury by the team.
With opening night on Oct. 10, the trio of injured players won't have much time to get into practices and possibly a preseason game, putting their availability put in doubt for the start of the season.
