Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports - BREAKING: Flames Sign Devin Cooley; Create Bay Area Native Crease

Former San Jose Sharks goalie Devin Cooley signed a two-year deal with the Calgary Flames.

Cooley made his NHL debut with the Sharks last season. The San Jose area native played six games for his childhood team, with the shining moment being his first home win against the St. Louis Blues.

Cooley has said that the Sharks and Thomas Speer have changed his game to another level.

The Flames are a growing team with two Bay Area natives, Cooley and Dustin Wolf. Wolf is from Gilroy, and Cooley is from Los Gatos.
