Filip Bystedt wasted no time tonight as the San Jose Sharks 2022 first-round pick made his AHL debut and scored his first two career goals against the San Diego Gulls.

Bystedt tied the game at three with a rocket of a one-timer from the right circle. He showcased his hockey IQ by being in the right area and ready to shoot if the puck got to him.

He showed off his prowess in front of the net by sliding home his second goal of the game to give the 'Cuda a 4-3 lead.

There was no timeline for when he would make his debut, but he was officially assigned to the AHL on Monday after his season in the SHL ended.

San Jose Barracuda broadcaster Nick Nollenberger teased Sharks fans by posting a picture of Bystedt's jersey with the caption "coming soon."

Bystedt made his AHL debut along with Akim Aliu and Jérémie Bucheler.
