The New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils started their game with a line brawl tonight and two former San Jose Sharks teammates were involved.
Barclay Goodrow, Chris Tierney, and Kaapo Kahkonen all started the game. Kahkonen did not fight off the opening draw; he and Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin were the only two players on the ice not to fight.
Goodrow fought Kevin Bahl and Tierney faced the dangerous Jacob Trouba. Every player involved except Curtis Lazar and Jimmy Vesey was ejected from the game. Goodrow and Tierney finish the game with 0:02 time on ice.
This brawl stems from Rangers forward Matt Rempe's actions in two previous games against the Devils.
