The San Jose Sharks have assigned Shakir Mukhamadullin and Thomas Bordeleau to the San Jose Barracuda.
Both players have been out with lower-body injuries. Mukhamadullin rejoined practice once but missed the entire training camp with his injury. He's been skating on his own during rehab ice times. Bordeleau picked up his injury early in training camp and had also been skating on his own.
Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky said both players will not accompany the team on its three-game road trip, which begins tonight against the Anaheim Ducks.
"They are more of a day-to-day than a week-to-week," Warsofsky said after practice on Oct. 21.
The Barracuda has had a solid start to the season with a record of 3-1, including two shutouts by top goalie prospect Yaroslav Askarov.
Bordeleau and Mukhamadullin's additions will only help the 'Cuda. Both players have extensive AHL experience and have played in the NHL.
