    David Warsofsky, the brother of San Jose Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky, has retired from professional hockey.

    Ryan got to coach his younger brother in the AHL during the 2020-21 season when David played 22 games for the Chicago Wolves. In those 22 games, David scored two goals, had 17 assists, and played defense.

    David Warsofsky played in 55 NHL games for the Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, New Jersey Devils, and Colorado Avalanche. His last NHL appearance was for the Avalanche during the 2017-18 season, the only time he appeared in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He played four games and didn't record a point.  

    David has played in the DEL German Hockey League since 2021 and was the captain of the Augsburger Panther for the 23-24 season.

    The d-man also represented the U.S. in the 2022 Winter Olympics. He played four games and didn't register a point.
