San Jose Sharks' No. 1 pick, Macklin Celebrini, left the game in the game in the second period after sliding hard into the boards.

Celebrini was sent in on goal beautifully by his linemate Tyler Toffoli, but after the goalie made the save, the centerman slid hard into the boards and stayed down momentarily.

Celebrini would stay on the bench and take his next shift, which was on the powerplay. He wouldn't take another shift in the second frame and went into the locker room.

The team announced he would not return with a lower-body injury.
