This former San Jose Sharks winger has had a strong training camp with the New Jersey Devils.

Kevin Labanc scored his first goal of the preseason in the Devils 3-1 win over the New York Rangers last night.
With most of the Devils team in Europe for the NHL Global Series, Labanc and many non-NHLers were in the lineup. Labanc scored the game's third goal with a wicked shot from the point.
Labanc signed a PTO with the Devils shortly before training camps began. He was skating with some of New Jersey's top forwards while Dawson Mercer remained unsigned. Mercer eventually signed his contract, and now the former San Jose Sharks winger is fighting for a depth scoring role.
Labanc can provide valuable depth for first-year Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe.
